Kenville Gold Mine

Overview

Kenville is a mine with a rich and colorful past – it was the first underground lode gold mine in the Province of British Columbia, and is well known for the size and nature of its high-grade gold content. It has produced 181,395 tonnes of ore between 1890 and 1952, and has changed hands many times. It is currently under strong control and ownership by Anglo Swiss Resources Inc.

Most of the current work focuses on the 257 Level of the historical Kenville Gold Mine, located 10 kilometres West of the City of Nelson, British Columbia. There are six other historical levels within the mine footprint; only this level is fully open and ready for production activities.

Kenville is unique is that it is well positioned to start delivering almost immediate Return on Investment (ROI). While many new mining operations require large capital investment to establish access and infrastructure, the Kenville mine offers everything needed to proceed with relatively modest capital investment – including a series of fully operational mine buildings with very good road access, electricity, natural gas, and running water.

Drilling has resulted in the discovery of high-grade gold veins at depth below the historic production areas of the mine and several hundreds of meters to the south. Cross sectional analysis of the historical drilling done in and around the old mine has also produced surprising results, with new vein translations and the opportunity to drift into no less than 8 new vein traces.

Additional surface and underground drilling is required. All permit applications required to complete our exploration program have been approved by the Provincial Governments Ministry of Mines.
